2003 to 2009 A leading manufacturer of consumer packaging. Introduced and developed the Industrial Design program for Rexam, which was the predecessor to the Innovation Center. Instrumental in winning the SC Johnson "Fresh Brush" product for Rexam which was a 9 million dollar sale that year and continues to bring in revenue. Identifies the critical need to bring 3-D printing in house which significantly reduced development costs and drastically decreased development times. One of the Key members of a small development team which created new stock product concepts for Rexam on a monthly basis. Supervised and mentored the interns. Managed the model shop and 3-D printer. Have been awarded 5 US Patent with 9 more in application.
2002 to 2003 A leading manufacturer of hose reels and outdoor storage bins. Learned and applied new techniques for building large models and assemblies. Quickly became proficient with programs used for product costing and evaluation. Responsible for converting 3-D data into 2-D drawings used for packaging and manuals. Have been awarded 1 US Patent.
A leading international manufacturer of scissors, craft products and business products. Introduced and developed the Industrial Design program for the Wausau facility. Quickly became proficient with new software such as SolidWorks, SurfCam, PhotoWorks and SolidWorks Animator, using them to increase productivity and communication between engineering, tooling, marketing and sales. Organized and maintained model shop and supplies for the design group. Learned RTV molding and urethane casting in different colors and durometers, using this knowledge to create models for tradeshows and sales presentations. Have been awarded 5 US Patents.
A national manufacturer of electric meters. Generated ideas and concepts for new electric meter housings. Responsibilities included design rendering concepts and presentations to clients.
Institution of higher learning. Responsible for teaching 2-D and 3-D introduction to design fundamentals to incoming freshmen and sophomores. Created class syllabus for each semester. Prepared and delivered daily lectures presentations and demonstrations to classes. Responsible for weekly project critiques and grading of projects.
2010 - Present A leading manufacturer of automobile air fresheners Introduced and developed the Industrial Design program for CAR-FRESHNER. Responsible for developing all new novelty air fresheners and some non TREE air fresheners. Developed 4 different product lines, of air fresheners, that have been recently launched into the market. Worked on all aspects of product development from concept to delivery. Worked extensively with Chinese suppliers to develop products. Have 1 US Patent in application
